All Inclusive Caribbean Cruises

cruisinThe lure of the deep blue waters and sandy beaches of the Caribbean Sea is almost irresistible. If you’ve never gone yourself, you probably have friends or family who have been and told you what a great time they had. If you’re ready to book your trip, the best way to save money is with an all inclusive Caribbean cruise.

The first thing that makes Caribbean cruises so fun is the convenience factor. If you were to take a regular trip to the Caribbean, you’d have to find and book a hotel room, plan out your own itinerary of where you want to go and be tied down to only one location for your trip.

However, on Caribbean cruises, you get to travel to several different islands at a leisurely pace. For example, you can go to an island one day, but the next day be at sea, just relaxing on the ship. You get to stay in the same ‘room’ which is your cabin but still go to many different places. It’s a moving hotel!

What comes to your mind when you think of your ideal cruise?

Is it the food? The entertainment on board every night? Or perhaps relaxing at the on-board spa and being completely pampered?

The first thing that  cruise should have is a choice of various shore excursions. While other cruises give you the option of choosing and paying for whatever shore excursions you want when you get on board, all inclusive cruises have you select the shore excursions that you would like to go on and pay for them before you get on the ship. That way, your tickets are waiting for you when you get on the ship. Generally you can find all the choices listed on the ship’s website.

Spa treatments are a fun thing to indulge yourself with on the days you spend ‘at sea’. These are also options you can include on your itinerary and book ahead of time. Doing it this way allows you to pay in advance.

Ships also have a gym where you can work out by yourself or group exercise classes like Pilates or yoga to get you off to a good start in the morning. It’s great fun to run on the treadmill that has an ocean view window.

Another popular spot on any cruise ship is the casino. If you don’t feel like going to the late-night disco party on the ship, you’ll find the rest of the ‘action’ is in the casino. Who knows, you may go home with more money than you spent.

relaxing in a hammock on a Caribbean islandIdeally, your cabin will have a great view of the water. You probably won’t spend a lot of time in there. But it’s so much fun to wake up in the morning with the beautiful blue sea right outside your window.  24 hour room service is always available and watch for those cute little towel animals the staff will fold and place on your bed in the evenings.

You can find more information on all inclusive Caribbean cruises at the cruise line’s websites. You’ll see different packages available and different cities you can depart from. Bring your bathing suit and be prepared for a relaxing vacation!
